30XX Dupont Ave N Tuesday 1/10/12 2120 hrs 12-009728
Officers were dispatched to the report of a shooting & located V1/male, 26 yrs, on the front porch. V1 had an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Officers spoke with W1/female, 22 yrs, who is V1’s girlfriend. W1 stated she & V1 were standing on the porch when unknown S1/male, 20-30 yrs, wearing a ski mask, walked up the front steps of the residence. W1 went inside to light a cigarette. W1 then heard a loud gunshot & found V1 with a gunshot wound to his head. W1 stated she saw S1 run from the residence, but could not provide any other information. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance in critical condition.

Fremont Ave N & Lowry Ave N Tuesday 1/10/12 2158 hrs 12-009762
Officers responded to the call of a person shot & walked into the incident address at 31XX James Ave N. V1 was lying just inside the front door & blood was soaking through his clothes on the lower side of his back & the upper part of his chest. V1 told officers the shooting occurred near the library, but couldn’t or wouldn’t identify any suspects. Others in the residence stated they were in the house when V1 walked in stating he had been shot. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance in critical but stable condition.

43XX Newton Ave N Thursday 1/12/12 1230 hrs 12-011422
While working off-duty at Patrick Henry High School, officer helped out during lunch. Several students were swinging wild punches at each other & pushing each other around. S1/male, 18 yrs, one of the students, threatened to harm officers on the scene. When S1 was confronted he knocked an officer into a metal file cabinet. He also kicked at the officer & swung his arms violently. It should be noted that S1 had a bulge in his pocket & officer attempted to pat search him for weapons when he resisted & assaulted officer, knocking officer into a desk several times. S1 wanted to leave the school, so he gathered items from his locker & was allowed to leave. S1 was not arrested at the request of another officer.

34XX Humboldt Ave N Saturday 1/14/12 0722 hrs 12-013241
Officers were dispatched to an assault at the above location. V1/female, 23 yrs, was lying in the street with a bloody head & face. All parties at the above location had been drinking alcohol. AP1/female, 32 yrs, started a fight with V2/female, 20 yrs, & ripped her shirt while assaulting her. V1 & V2 were leaving the house when AP1 threw a large glass bottle in their direction, striking V1 on the forehead. V1 stated she was knocked out for about 5 minutes & had a cut on her forehead that required stitches. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. AP1 was booked in HCJ for PC Assault 2.

20XX Willow Ave Monday 1/16/12 1710 hrs 12-015373
Officers were dispatched to the above location on a stabbing call. AP1/male, 26 yrs, was outside where he was taken into custody. V1/male, 41 yrs, & OT1/female, 42 yrs, stated that AP1 came over to the address & said he was going to kill his mother (OT1). At that point, V1 came out to protect OT1 & was stabbed in the torso area by AP1. V1 was transported to the hospital & AP1 was booked into HCJ for PC 2nd Degree Assault.

23RD Ave N & Queen Ave N Tuesday 1/10/12 1107 hrs 12-009169
V1 & V2, males, 21 yrs, pulled their vehicle over after AP1/male, 25 yrs, flagged them down from his vehicle to purchase marijuana. AP1 entered the victims’ car, sitting in the back seat behind them. AP1 reached into the upper waistband of his pants, while threatening to shoot both victims. Victims thought AP1 was armed with a gun, but never saw one. AP1 demanded marijuana, cash, & a box of cigarettes from the victims, which they gave to him. AP1 exited the victims’ car & fled the scene in his own car. AP1 was stopped by Robbinsdale PD & the stolen items were located inside his car along with a plastic toy gun, which was in the trunk. AP1 was positively ID’d by both victims after a “show-up” & then booked in HCJ for PC Robbery. No injuries.

Officers were dispatched to the above location on a Robbery of Person & met V1/male, 35 yrs. V1 stated he was standing in the front yard of the above address when unknown S1/male, 20-21 yrs, approached, holding a handgun in his left hand. S1 told V1 to turn around & V1 complied. S1 removed $25 that V1 had in his hand & fled on foot. No injuries. V1 could provide no further information.

21XX Irving Ave N Wednesday 1/11/12 1655 hrs 12-010612
Officer responded to the above location on one down. It was later learned that this was a robbery of person. Officer located V1/male, 16 yrs, lying on the ground, who stated he had just been robbed. V1 reported that 5 teenage males, 14-16 yrs, robbed him & 2 of the males had guns. V1 stated he recognized S1 from Facebook & from having attended school with him. V1 also remembered S3 from school. When asked how he was assaulted, V1 stated he wasn’t quite sure but they beat him down & all suspects kicked him while he was on the ground. Suspects stole a Blackberry valued at $250 & $200 in cash. V1 reported pain in his head & knee & was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Suspects were GOA.

5th Ave N & Newton Ave N Thursday 1/12/12 1828 hrs 12-011695
Officer was dispatched to 5XX Newton Ave N on a Robbery of Person call. Officer met V1/male, 29 yrs, who said he was walking down the street when he observed unknown suspects, males, 15-25 yrs, crossing the street. V1 stated he was suddenly struck from behind & he fell to the ground. Both suspects hit V1 in the face with their fists. V1 stated one of the suspects grabbed his bottle of juice & they fled. V1 said it was the only loss in the robbery. V1’s front tooth had been knocked loose from being punched in the face & there were several cuts inside his mouth, as well as a small amount of blood on his right cheek. V1 refused medical. Suspects were GOA.

Oak Park Ave & Queen Ave N Sunday 1/15/12 1800 hrs 12-014517
Officers were dispatched to the above location on an attempted Robbery of Person. V1/male, 19 yrs, stated he just got off the bus when he was jumped by 4 unknown males, unknown ages. V1 stated that suspects demanded he empty his pockets & implied they would shoot him if he didn’t. V1 said he refused & suspects began punching him in the torso area. V1 thought he possibly had broken ribs. V1 was transported to the hospital via ambulance. No loss.

29XX Irving Ave N Sunday 1/15/12 1730 hrs 12-014509
V1/female, 13 yrs, & V2/female, 15 yrs, were walking through the park when they were approached by a group of 7 suspects, 5 males & 2 females, 14-18 yrs. Two of the suspects used guns to threaten the victims into giving up their property. Loss included a cell phone; purse; ID; & clothes. Suspects then fled the area. No injuries.

52XX Bryant Ave N Sunday 1/15/12 2035 hrs 12-014616
Officers responded to the above location on a carjacking that occurred at gunpoint. V1/female, 30 yrs, stated she & her son, 10 yrs, left a grocery store & were approached by unknown S1/male, 20-30 yrs, who was holding a silver handgun. S1 demanded V1’s keys at gunpoint & V1 & her son ran back toward the store. Unknown S2/male, 20-30 yrs, told them not to run & V1’s son stopped when S2 said this. Suspects got into V1’s vehicle & drove away. V1 stated neither she nor her son were injured & refused medical attention. V1 stated the owner of the vehicle was her boyfriend, who was not at the scene. Store employees stated there might be a video of the incident. Vehicle & suspects were not located.

6XX Broadway Ave W Monday 1/16/12 1300 hrs 12-015311
Officers were dispatched to a Robbery of Person call. V1/female, 29 yrs, stated she parked in the parking lot of Merwin Drug so a friend could cash a check & she went to the “7 Mile” store across the street. V1 stated a maroon sedan followed her & unknown S1/male, 25-30 yrs, the front seat passenger, exited the vehicle & pinned her against it. S1 held a handgun to V1’s stomach & demanded her money. V1 told S1 she didn’t have any, but he could take her cell phone. S1 did not take the phone, but fled. V1 reported this was only an attempted robbery, but stated there may be a video of the incident. V1 was not injured & did not require medical attention.

14XX Golden Valley Rd Thursday 1/12/12 1633 hrs 12-011597
A search warrant was conducted at the listed location & suspected narcotics & a 22 caliber Cross Pump BB gun were recovered. 3 parties were cited & released for Disorderly House & released from the scene. AP1/male, 44 yrs, was later charged with PC Narcotics by complaint. All evidence was property inventoried.

Broadway Ave W & Penn Ave N Saturday 1/14/12 0011 hrs 12-013036
Officers conducted a traffic stop at this location after a traffic infraction. AP1/male, 30 yrs, was asked to produce a DL & his insurance information. As AP1 reached for his insurance, he kicked something underneath his seat. Officer shined a flashlight on the floorboard & observed the handle of a handgun. AP1 was placed under arrest for PC Weapons & was booked in HCJ.
