ASSAULTS:
ASSLT2 w/Dangerous Weapon
16XX Broadway Ave W Thursday 3/4/10 1914 hrs 10-060320
Beat Officers at the Amstar gas station, observed a fight & aired that a party had a gun & shots were fired. SWAT team officers in the area responded to assist. Beat officers further aired that 4 parties got into a tan vehicle & the party in a tan jacket had a large colored revolver with him. AP1/Jiyaan Jamaal Copeland, BM, 18 yrs, 6/14/91, fired at vehicles parked in the O’Reilly Auto Store lot, damaging 2. SWAT officers found the suspect vehicle at Penn Ave N, at a red light, & ordered all parties out at gunpoint. AP1 attempted to exit the passenger side & flee, but was detained by officers. AP1 was arrested for Assault 2 w/a dangerous weapon, & Discharging a Weapon. AP2/Marquis Antonio Roberson, BM, 21 yrs, 3/6/88, & AP3/Trayjohn Lashawn Martin, BM, 18 yrs, 5/17/91 were arrested for Assault2 w/a dangerous weapon. AP4/Lamark Anthony Dobbins, BM, 20 yrs, 7/30/89 was arrested for Assault 2 w/a dangerous weapon & a Felony Warrant. All 4 parties were booked & the revolver was recovered from the vehicle. No known injuries. Victim vehicles were processed for bullet fragments.

12XX Banneker Ave Friday 3/5/10 0547 hrs 10-060880
V1/BF, 25 yrs, was walking toward the bus stop on Fremont from 12th Ave N when she heard a horn honk from a silver, 4 door Nissan, but ignored it. V1 was approached by S1/BM, 18-22 yrs, 5’8-5’11, light build, wearing a plaid sweatshirt & S2/BM, 18-22 yrs, 5’9-5’11, light build, dark complexion who had been walking on the other side of the street, & engaged in conversation w/her. V1 tried to keep walking, but S1 & S2 blocked her path, before grabbing her & pushing her toward the front open door of the silver Nissan. V1 struggled & was struck in the side & back of her head by S1 & S2. S3/BM, 18-22 yrs, no further info, then placed a black handgun against her head. V1 was able to get out of the car, but fell & hurt her knee, then ran to Fremont & Plymouth to get on the bus. Unknown what role S4/BM, 18-23 yrs, dark complexion, curly/wavy black hair, played. V1 refused medical attention.

26XX Morgan Ave N Saturday 3/6/10 0209 hrs 10-061859
V1/BF, 46 yrs, & KNOWN S1/BF, 30 yrs, 5’4, light build, light complexion, wearing a white t-shirt & multi-colored Capri pants, had been drinking with others at this location & got into an argument. S1 produced a small silver handgun & was told by V1 she’d have to go. S1 threatened V1 & others as she left. S1 returned a short while later & fired at least 4 shots in the air, outside of the house, hitting V1 in the face, who was near a window. S1 got into a 2 door, blue Cavalier & fled. V1 was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

36th Ave N & Lyndale Ave N Saturday 3/6/10 1308 hrs 10-062135
V1 was walking to the store on Fremont, when he observed a dark grey or blk Suburban w/dark tinted windows stopped in the middle of the road. V1 kept walking towards the store when unknown S1/BM, 16 yrs, 5’3, light build, medium complexion, wearing a red/white check jacket, exited the vehicle & said “What’s up Cuz?” to V1. S1 then produced a handgun & started shooting at V1. V1 fled, jumped a fence, & hid in the backyard of a house. V1 saw the suspect vehicle drive in front of the house where he was hiding. V1 is from Mississippi & doesn’t know many people here or if S1 was shooting at him. He could not describe the handgun. S2/BM, light-skinned BM, wearing a hat, no further info, was driving the vehicle. No injuries. V1 was taken home by officers. No shell casings found in the area.
ASSLT2 w/Dangerous Weapon
34XX Penn Ave N Saturday 3/6/10 1916 hrs 10-062446
Officers were dispatched to this address on a person w/a gun call. Officers were flagged down by V1/BF, 18 yrs, & V2/BF, 16 yrs, who stated AP 1/George Cornelius Watkins, BM, 28 yrs, 8/27/81, threatened them with his pit bull after they stated if he didn’t move it, they would mace it. Victims did not know AP1 & were in fear of the dog. AP1 became very upset, producing a gun, stating he would kill everyone there for his dog. Victims were placed in the back of sqd & AP1 was apprehended & brought to them for a show-up, where they positively ID’d him. Officers obtained consent to search AP1’s residence & found a grey colored handgun in the kitchen freezer. Gun was seized & AP1 was booked in HCJ for ASLT2 & Carry a weapon without a permit. No injuries.

12XX Irving Ave N Monday 3/8/10 1645 hrs 10-064221
V1/WF, 19 yrs, was drinking beer with PG1/BF, 38 yrs the night before the incident. AP1/BF, 16 yrs, came over in the a.m. V1 was seated in a vehicle with W1/BF, 20 yrs, & W2/BM, 37 yrs, getting ready to leave, when PG1 ran out accusing V1 of “looking at her boyfriend.” AP1 approached the open vehicle door & punched V1 with a closed fist on the side of her face. V1 got out of the vehicle & punched AP1 with a closed fist. AP1 & PG1 went into the house & AP1 returned with a black handled kitchen knife w/a silver blade, which she used to stab V1, 2 to 3 times on the left side rib cage area. AP1; AP2/Vu Hoang Nguyen, AM, 23 yrs, 5/30/86; AP3/Adolphus Twekorion, BM, 30 yrs, 10/5/79; & AP4/Shermain Robinson, BF, 28 yrs, 12/22/81, fled in a grey SUV, which was stopped a short time later. Occupants were positively ID’d by witnesses in a show-up. AP1 was booked in the Juv. Detention Center for Asslt 2; Other AP’s were booked in HCJ: AP2 for No DL; AP3 for 3 misd. warrants; & AP4 for False Info to Police & 2 misd. warrants. Knife was recovered. V1 was transported via ambulance to the hospital w/non-life threatening wounds. Suspect vehicle was towed & held for the Assault Unit.

37XX Penn Ave N Tuesday 3/2/10 0901 hrs 10-057668
V1/BM, 38 yrs, & his mother, V2/BF, 54 yrs, were in her home when S1/BF, 36 yrs, V1’s girlfriend, came over & argued with him. S1 returned later with 3 unknown BM suspects, 15-18 yrs, no further info. The 3 BM’s demanded V1 give money to S1 & started hitting & kicking him. One suspect took $60 from V1’s pocket. Seeing the assault, V2, jumped in & was also being hit. V2 grabbed a knife & stabbed one of the BM’s. All 4 suspects then got into a blue van & fled. V1 & V2 sustained minor injuries, but refused medical. Both V1 & V2 had an oder of alcohol on them. V2 believes suspects took her purse, containing money orders, ID, and disability cards.

13XX 12th Ave N Wednesday 3/3/10 1400 hrs 10-058945
V1/BF, 22 yrs, was walking near the above location when unknown S1/BM, 25yrs, 5’4”, heavy build, dark complexion, unshaven, short black hair, wearing black pants & a black jacket with a fur hoodie, walked by saying “Hi.” As he did so, S1 grabbed V1’s purse off her shoulder & fled. No injuries. Loss included $52 cash, various credit cards, keys, & ID.

21XX Aldrich Ave N Wednesday 3/3/10 2000 hrs 10-059392
V1/BM, 32 yrs, was near his vehicle when 7 unknown BM suspects, 16-22 yrs, attacked him, punching & kicking him. One suspect had a handgun & pistol whipped V1’s face, causing injuries. Suspects took a $50 cell phone, $150 Sony handheld game, & a ring of keys. V1 could only give info about S1/BM, 16-22 yrs, 5’5-6, heavy build, dark complexion, wearing dark clothing. V1 sustained a bump on his right cheek, scrapes on his right hand, possibly a broken nose, & may have teeth damage, with lacerations on the inside of his lips. V1 refused medical attention. Suspects were GOA.

29TH & Aldrich Ave N Wednesday 3/3/10 2245 hrs 10-059451
V1/WM, 21 yrs, got off the bus & was approached by S1/BM, 16-17 yrs, 5’5, light build, light complexion, wearing a black hoody & black jacket w/sparkly stripes. S1 aimed a black semiautomatic pistol at V1 & told him to give him his MP3 player. S1 also demanded money, took V1’s wallet, & pistol slapped V1 in the face. S1 then fled . V1 sustained a cut on the bottom of his chin, but refused medical assistance. Loss included $20 cash & credit cards.

V1/BM, 20 yrs, walking down the street, was holding a merchandise bag containing a shirt & pants he just bought. The bag also had a cell phone & wallet inside it. S1/BM, 18-21 yrs, 5’10, medium build, medium afro, beard, wearing a red shirt under a black hoody & blue jeans, approached V1 & asked what was in the bag. V1 refused to open it & S1 pointed a black semiautomatic at V1, taking the bag & fleeing on foot. No injuries. Loss included $110 in clothing, a $50 cell phone, & $120 cash, along with V1’s ID.

28XX Fremont Ave N Thursday 3/4/10 2330 hrs 10-060644
V1/WM, 18 yrs, was driving his 2006 black over silver, Honda Accord, when he was flagged down by S1/BM, unknown age, 6’, light build, wearing a black baseball cap, who stepped in the middle of the road. When V1 exited his vehicle, he was hit in the back of the head by S1 or possibly other suspects. S1 punched V1 in the face & ribs while other unknown suspects grabbed his wallet & cell phone & they all drove off in his car. V1 had a fat upper lip, blood above it, & thinks he was knocked out. V1 refused medical assistance. Besides his vehicle & cell phone, loss included ID, a check card, & $200 in cash.

V1/AM, 30 yrs, made a food delivery to this location & when he returned to his vehicle, S1/BM, 20-24 yrs, 5’7-5’9, heavy build, black jacket, no further info, approached V1 & opened his car door, stating “This is a robbery.” V1 drove off with the vehicle door open & did not sustain a loss. No weapon seen. No injuries.

29XX Thomas Ave N Sunday 3/7/10 2305 hrs 10-063591
V1WM, 27 yrs, pulled out of a parking spot & was approached by unknown suspect (no description) who knocked on his window. V1 rolled his window down & another unknown suspect jumped into the front passenger seat, displayed a small box cutter knife & demanded money. V1 attempted to grab the knife from the suspect & thinks this is how he cut his left hand. When V1 grabbed the ignition key & fled the vehicle, 2 suspects pushed him to the ground & kicked him in the face & torso approx. 6-10 times. The suspect with the knife, punctured one of V1’s car tires. V1 saw suspects get into a white SUV & flee. No loss, but V1’s vehicle gear shift was disabled & the vehicle had to be towed. Estimate repair cost is $300. V1 received medical attention at the scene for a small cut to his left palm & was released.

23XX 6th St N. Saturday 3/6/10 0420 hrs 10-061946
Officers responded to shots fired with the suspect being a BM, wearing a black jacket & brown hat. Officers located the suspect matching this description, who began to limp. The suspect said he had been in a fight, but not shot, & that’s what caused the limp. Officers requested he show his waistband & revealing very little suspect started walking fast, then running. Officers ran after the suspect who had to be wrestled to the ground, where he threw a silver semi-automatic handgun next to a garage. Suspect/AP1/ Keontay Antoine Donald, BM, 25 yrs, 12/8/84, was booked in HCJ for PC Felon in possession of a Firearm. Gun recovered.

25XX Lyndale Ave N Saturday 3/6/10 1218 hrs 10-0062098
Officers were conducting surveillance & observed AP1/Lorenzo Germaine Gilmer, BM, 21 yrs, 8/4/88, & AP2/Alonzo Demetrius McCoy Jr., BM, 19 yrs, 10/12/90, leave the church together. AP2 gave a handgun to AP1, who walked back to the church, where he was stopped. A loaded 380 handgun was recovered from AP1’s waistband. AP2 was stopped close by & was also taken into custody. Both AP’s booked in HCJ. Gun & live bullets confiscated.
