V1/BM was found DOA in basement from gunshot wounds.

V1/WM – 53 yrs. stated that AP1/Meeks, Maurice – BM 34 yrs. / came to his house to “kick him out” and hit him w/belt and threatened him w/knife. AP1 does not live at this house but had been staying there. Knife and belt could not be located.

Officers dispatched to Hsp. where V1/BM – 16 yrs. w/gang tattoo stated he was across street from Super USA and was shot once in upper left thigh by several guys walking. A cousin was called to take him to Hsp. S1/unk 0-99 yrs. and V1 had no information.

V1/BM – 16 yrs. was shot in the upper right leg and was helped by W1. They called 911. Ambulance was called. No suspect information. V1 saw no one.

At a bus stop where V1/BM – 25 yrs. was approached by several males who pulled up in a beige TOYOTA Camry. S1 asked him what time it was while S2/known BM struck him on right side of his head w/”Amsterdam” liquor bottle. V1 said he was struck 2xs and then the other males punched him. They stole $8 from him. V1 said he fought back and then they left in veh. V1 took bus downtown/walked to HCMC. No suspect information.

Unknown suspect(s) shot at MTC bus. V1/mixed race male – 53 yrs. /driver of bus had a minor laceration on hand and shoulder pain/transported to Hsp. There were other passengers - no injuries. A bullet hole was on driver’s side window of the bus. The driver’s seat/area had broken fragments of glass on them. All of the witnesses stated they didn’t see anything but heard a gunshot.

V1/female – 25 yrs. was threatened by S1/ “Little Will” unk BM (24-25 yrs.) – SUB/light complexion and S2/unk, Matthew – BM (26-28 yrs.) - SUB/dark complexion in MN NCW-477, full-size tan van pulling up to her while she was unloading groceries. They pointed a handgun in air at a cocked angle and stated in gang slang, “You know I got it!” Apparently, the suspects had pistol whipped her brother a week prior.

V1/BF-40 yrs. stated she had been raped by her boyfriend AP1/Leblanc, Andree – BM 43 yrs. who held her against her will with 2 knives threatening to kill her if she wouldn’t cooperate. He has done this before and they’ve been boyfriend/girlfriend since 2008.

V1/BM – 25 yrs. drugged under meds from a doctor and at a bus stop shelter when S1/ and S2/unk BMs 20-30 yrs./600” medium bld. came up and commented on how nice his jacket was and asked where he bought it. V1 said he got it in Chicago. S1 had a knife/started stabbing at V1 trying to take the jacket. V1 was stabbed once in the arm. They were wearing all black with black half-face masks. Suspects fled. V1 can’t identify.

S1/unk African BM 25-30 yrs. wearing gold stock cap/blk mask & puffy jacket walked into business and demanded money from V1/AM – 38 yrs. at gunpoint. V1 opened the cash register and removed $1100. S1 fled in unknown direction.

V1/BM – 24 yrs. was robbed at gunpoint by S1/unk BM (24 – 26 yrs.) 507-508”/light build/dark skin/braids front to back wearing a black jacket w “N” on front and carrying a silver automatic 9mm Glock along with S2 and S3/unk BMs-20’s. It happened in 2nd floor hallway of apartment complex. Loss: $100.

V1/BM – 46 yrs. said he was approached from behind caught off-guard and told S1/BM 29-30 yrs. 509” wearing ski mask/blk puffy jacket to leave him alone. S1 threw a punch and so did V1 when along came S2/BM-600”/thin/light skin/moustache also wearing a blk puffy jacket hit him in the face twice w/unk object and S3/BM – 0. V1 fell to ground unconscious/woke up leaning against a red car. Loss: $17. V1 had a severe laceration above right eye and taken to Hsp.

V1/BM – 62 yrs. stated 2 unk BMs (20-35 yrs.) followed him from the Winner Gas Station where he bought cigarettes. Both were wearing dark clothing w/hoods covering their heads. They grabbed him from behind/punched him in face. While fighting, V1’s black leather jacket came off and S2 took it while S1 demanded money ($100)/cigarettes.

V1/BM – 18 yrs. stated while he was walking 3 BMs approached him asking for weed. V1 said “no” and then a reference was made about his Twins hat. In seconds, S1/unk BM -18-20 yrs./507”/stocky/dark skin wearing blk jacket and yellow/blk Pittsburgh Pirates BB “P” hat, S2/unk BM 18-20 yrs./505”/thin/goatee/fade hair in blk coat & hat with white star on front and S3/unk 18-20 yrs./600”/medium/1” Afro was wearing green jacket/no hat were punching V1 in face knocking him to ground. Loss: $100 and a black Boost Mobile cell phone w/yellow writing. V1 declined an ambulance.

V1/BF – 33 yrs. went to Merwins to pick up cash at Western Union. On her way down Washington Ave., she noticed she was being followed so she pulled over. A white mini-van pulled up/blocked her veh and a dark green mini-van approached her as well blocking her so she could not pull out. S1/ unk BM – 511”(20-25 yrs.) dark skin/no facial hair/bad acne/oblong shaped head/large nose & lips wearing a black leather jacket w/red stitching, black skull cap yelled at her that he saw her get the money and pointed silver revolver at her face. S2/unk BM – (20-25 yrs.) 6 ft/200 lbs. wearing all blk with ski mask eyes cut-out and S3/unk BM 505” (20-25 yrs.) 160 lbs./lt. skin w/basket ball fade & waves jumped out of other van also pointed black handguns at her. They took her keys and she gave them $900.

Officer responded to above on a DOMES where the father was leaving the home in a red Grand AM with his 3 wk old child. As Officer arrived, he saw suspect’s car going NB on Upton. Officer catches up to veh on GVR/Upton. Officer had on red lights/siren; but veh continues EB on GVR, SB on Thomas, EB on 17th and then pulls over in front of above. Male is taken into custody. The child is returned to the mother. Pursuit lasted less than a minute/around the block.
WEDNESDAY (01-20-10):
Preliminary report of homicide
15XX Irving Ave N 20:18 hrs 10-018437
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at above. Remarks stated that caller shot a male who had broken into his house, and shot him with his own gun. Upon arrival, officers met caller in the basement. A male was located on the basement floor, who had apparently sustained multiple gunshot wounds to torso/buttocks. EMS/Fire arrived/declared male DOA. Caller stated that the male and 2 other males arrived at residence and all 4 parties went down to the basement. Caller informed officers that the now DOA male had pulled out a handgun and tried to shoot the caller; a struggle for the gun ensued; and the male was shot during struggle.
THURSDAY (01-21-10):

Officer responded to above regarding a DOMES. Officers learn that victim was hit in back of head with a belt. Victim was threatened by AP with a knife. Knife wasn’t recovered. AP was booked at HCJ.
FRIDAY (01-22-10):
21XX Girard Ave N 06:53:56 10-019935
Vehicle owner started her newly purchase SUV so it could ‘warm up’ on this bone chilling 29 degree morning. Two males who were tired of walking took advantage/drove off. Plate number was not immediately available, but a squad stopped a vehicle matching description but it was the wrong SUV; but ironically, the stolen SUV drove right on by. Officers stopped stolen vehicle at 2400 3rd St N. Two parties were taken into custody. Vehicle was returned to owner unharmed. Citation for Open Ignition issued to owner. One male was booked for auto theft; other tagged for tampering (riding in a stolen vehicle).

Officers responded to Hsp. for a report from a victim of a gunshot wound who was transported to Hsp. by private vehicle. V1 was a 16 year old male with a NLT gunshot to upper thigh. V1 stated that he left the Super USA gas station above and saw a group of unknown males. One of these males fired 1 shot, striking the victim. V1 then phoned a relative who transported him Hsp. ShotSpotter showed no gunshot activations in the area.
SATURDAY (01-23-10):

34th Ave N/Morgan Ave N 22:55 hrs 10-020775
Officers responded to above on a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 16 year old male with a NLT gunshot wound to the upper thigh. V1 stated he heard a few shots while walking in the area and felt a sharp pain in his leg. V1 stated that he did not see anyone in area, he just heard the shots. Victim was transported to Hsp. by EMS. ShotSpotter showed no gunshot activations.
SUNDAY (01-24-10):
PC NEGLECT/PC MALICIOUS PUNISHMENT OF A CHILD

Father was booked after he hit juvie son over head w/a plate and threw him outside in his shorts. There wasn’t any running water or heat in home. Child didn’t need EMS. Juvie and 9 year old w/severe special needs were taken to St. Joes.
MONDAY (01-25-10):

39/Colfax Av.N. 18:51 hrs 10-023120
Officers responded to a Robbery at gunpoint, above and spoke to V1 who stated that she had just come from Mervin’s and had received $900 from Western Union. V1 states she was traveling towards home when she noticed a vehicle following her. V1 stated she pulled her vehicle over at 39th and Colfax and a white minivan pulled in behind her. V1 stated that a dk. green minivan came from the other direction and pulled in front of victim’s vehicle not allowing her to leave. Suspect #1 got out of white minivan and demanded victim’s cash at gunpoint. Two suspects exited the green minivan also with guns, demanding victim’s cash. Victim gave all $900 to suspects who fled in their vehicles. V1 states at least one suspect made reference to knowing V1 had gotten cash.
