V1/BM – 31 yrs. was shot to death. According to residents of the block, this is an area with a lot of drug dealing.

Officers dispatched and S1/known BM – 49 yrs. was GOA. S1 had entered V1/WM – 61 yrs. residence w/out permission and began to assault him by throwing him out of his wheel chair and then hitting him with it causing a severe leg laceration. V1 believed he was trying to get his wallet and that he has a history of assaulting V1. W1 called “911.”

V1/BM – 22 yrs. states he was shot at while in his vehicle by S1/unk, John – BM (505-506”) 22-24 yrs. /lt. frame and skin/black long braids. Officers were flagged down by V1 stating he was shot at earlier in the night at Winner Gas Station/robbed of $200 and shot by the same suspect earlier in the year.

AP1/Johnson, Corey – BM 25 yrs. and V1/BM – 33 yrs. (friends) were drinking and playing dominos when AP1 lost the game. AP1 became upset and fought w/V1 causing his lung to collapse, severe bruise on right knee and scratches on left side of torso.

Officers were called to a shots fired by V1/BF – 19 yrs. and V2/BF – 2yrs. who are acquaintances of S1/unk, Karzell – BM (507-508”) 17-19 yrs./light build and skin/medium blk braids wearing a “fuzzy” blk hoodie. S1 made a threat on phone that he didn’t give a fuck about V1 and her daughter and that “I will kill both y’all.” S1 fired 5 shots at house/GOA. Spent casings located. Area is known for drug dealings.

V1/BM – 23 yrs. was shot at so he fired back with a handgun. V1 then ran off. Different shell casings were found on sidewalk/street. V1 was a passenger in V2/BM – 20 yrs. vehicle/’93 CHEV station wagon when he was shot at and two bullets just barely missed him by S1/unk BM 20-25 yrs. in a drive-by. V2’s vehicle ended up being stuck in a snow bank. Both victims did not have valid DLs so were taken into custody.

AP1/Nelson, Joanne – mixed race – 21 yrs. was drunk/yelling obscenities at members in household. AP1 was placed in cuffs and while being frisked for weapons, kicked an Officer in his leg and managed to slip out of one cuff. AP was re-cuffed and spat on the Officer. AP1 booked at HCJ.

V1/BM – 50 yrs. stated he was taking out his trash when attacked by 3 unk BMs (17 – 29 yrs.) wearing black and faces covered. They duct taped V1, pistol-whipped him and then entered the single family home. V2/BM – 18 yrs. and V3/BM – 43 yrs. were ordered to the ground and searched by 2 suspects and the 3rd checked the bedrooms. Victims were robbed of $835 total along w/IDs and papers, etc. Suspects fled in a 90’s-2000 unk beige or lt. green minivan when other family members arrived.

V1/BM – 30 yrs. was waiting for a bus when S1/BM 18-22 yrs./thin/507-510” wearing a black coat, jeans and white shoes approached, displayed a small revolver and stole all he had - $2. S1 fled on foot. V1 saw the same suspect on 1-02-10.

V1/BF – 40 yrs. was jumped by an ex-boyfriend S1/known BM (wearing a blk mask/jacket w/gold eagle) – 51 yrs. who punched her until V1 fell and then kicked V1 until she released her purse. S1 had a small black handgun which he used to hit V1 on the back of head 3xs. V1 was robbed of $450 and ID. Apparently he has been harassing her since his release from prison.

V1/BM – 40 yrs. possibly has an internal head injury/bruising on other parts of body by S1/unk BM 18-25 yrs. V1 was walking and saw a group of 10 – 15 black males so he went to minister to them. One asked if he had money and when he said “no” was struck, punched and kicked. One suspect grabbed his wallet w/$160/ID in it. Because it was dark out, he has no suspect info.

Emerson Food Mkt. robbed of $200 in register by S1/unk BM 30-39 yrs. /507-509” /thin and dark skin carrying a silver automatic. Two employees, V1 and V2 waited for 2 hrs. before they called Police; however, they called owner before that. Owner could not understand why they waited so long. Video was taken. V1 said S1 was in an hour earlier before robbery. S1 fled by foot.

V1/BF – 44 yrs. was bringing out garbage and approached by 2 BMs/30’s with braids and wearing dark clothes who displayed a knife/grabbed $450 out of her pants pocket and stabbed her in the right thigh – no bleeding/superficial only. Victim’s roommates said it was unusual for her to take out the garbage and strange she had money on her because it was rent day.

Drug deal gone bad and a shooting behind the Handy Shop in the parking lot. V1/BM – 20 yrs. was shot in left leg (NLT) and V2/BM – 46 yrs. had no injuries. S1/known BM – 18 yrs. was in all black carrying a black semi-automatic 9mm possibly. S1 demanded money/$250 and took off in a grey/silver ’97 OLDS Aurora/MN MKC492.

Northside Food Mkt. was robbed by S1/ unk BM 20-27 yrs. (505-507”) light build/skin /chin fuzz wearing gray stocking hat/gray jacket armed with a black w/silver slide handgun. Store manager reported loss of $432. DVD should be available soon.

V1/BF – 45 yrs. gave S1/unk BM 34-36 yrs. (509”) med. build/hair/beard with a Jamaican accent a ride home from Mystic Lake Casino after playing the slots. S1 stole her purse, ring (silver w/diamond clusters = $400) and cash of $300 at this drop-off after he displayed a black handgun threatening her.

V1/WM – 19 yrs. was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint by S1/unk BM 20-25 yrs. wearing a black doo-rag, S2/unk BM 20-25 yrs./heavy/medium braids and S3/unk BM 20-25 yrs./heavy/bald wearing a brown puffy coat in a ’98 FORD Contour/MN SMS282 red 4 dr. V1 was at McDonald’s on Broadway/Dupont in the parking lot when suspects called him over to their vehicle. As he got closer, they yanked him inside demanding money. V1 spent time convincing them he didn’t have any as they took his socks, shoes and cell while driving around. Before dropping him off, they threatened to kill him and anyone he told about incident.

Squads were attempting to stop a vehicle wanted in a robbery; but, it wouldn’t stop. Pursuit entailed when suspects bailed and were running. Officers and K9 took custody of AP1/Zarzar, Mitchell – BM 22 yrs., and AP2/Migmen, Abel – BM 22 yrs. carrying a .357 cal 6-shot revolver w/3.75” BBL at this address. Female resident has seen them before in African community and maybe they visited her cousin when she was at work. The gun was hidden in her house. (Related cases: 10-003127 & 10-003211)

AP1/Banks, Louis Lee – BM 20 yrs., AP2/Mchie, Rayshawn – BM 20 yrs., AP3/Sanders, Talena – BM 22 yrs., AP4/Campau, Donte – BM 19 yrs. and AP5/Shannon, Anthony – BM 19 yrs. were drug dealing and a .45 cal 6-shot revolver 5.15” BBL was recovered.

30th/California St NE 22:19 hrs 09-292168
4th Pct. officers received a call to Hsp. on a victim of a gunshot who had walked in. Victim had minor pellet wounds to the head, right leg, and lower back. Suspect was called by a female to come to a house near 30th/California. Victim stated that he thinks the female “set him up.” Upon arriving, victim heard someone walking in the snow behind him. He looked and observed a B/M with a shotgun, pointed it at him, and began firing, approx. 5 times. The victim fled on foot and was later driven to Hsp.

Officers were in the store on an unrelated theft when they were informed of a shooting. V1 was sitting in back/MN MKC492 attempting to buy weed. The car drove behind the store where there are no cameras. When V2 came over to the car, S1 attempted to rob both victims. V2 backed away and V1 attempted to get out of the car. S1 shot V1 in the leg. Suspect fled. Car later located by Crystal PD unoccupied and towed it to MPD impound lot. V1 went to Hsp. w/NLT injury.

Victim business was robbed at gunpoint by a B/M with a large handgun. S1 waited until other customers left to enter the store. Business waited about 2 hrs. to report robbery (it occurred at 1710 hrs. according to video evidence and the clerk).

S1/BM - 5’5”, light build, in his 20’s, wearing a gray jacket/cap, walked into the store above, pointed a handgun at manager and demanded cash. Manager gave S1 cash from the register. S1 fled on foot in an unknown direction.
MONDAY (01-04-10):

38XX Penn N 14:00 hrs
Two black males exited 38 Penn N when a dark colored car traveling NB on Penn shot multiple times in direction of 2 males. No shell casings located in street; no damage located on the house; no injuries. The two males were uncooperative.

28XX Aldrich Av N 11:57 hrs 10-2837
2 BMs (1 armed) forced their way into residence while homeowner’s grandmother and 3 underage children were home alone. No injuries. Suspects described as 2 BM, 18-21 yrs old, 5-8 to 5-10, medium builds, both wearing black winter hats, black hooded sweatshirts, black jeans. 1 BM was armed with a silver handgun and wore a black mask.

Length of Pursuit: Started: 21/Fremont Ave N-– Ended: 2926 Knox Ave N (2-3 miles)
Reason: Squad 959 noticed MN SMS 282 at 21/Fremont Ave N. This vehicle was used in a Kidnapping/AGG Robbery of Person at Gunpoint in North Minneapolis earlier in the evening. Squads attempted to stop the vehicle using their emergency equipment at Golden Valley RD/Morgan. Suspects failed to stop and pursuit was aired. Speeds were 20-30 mph. Streets were very icy and slippery. In front of 29xx Knox Ave N, driver bailed and ran into. Suspects taken into custody/booked HCJ. Suspects involved in two Kidnap/Robberies, one of which, they kidnapped a victim from Anoka and dropped him off in N. Minneapolis. (10-003211).

10-003127 Robbery of Person/Kidnapping
Male victim called to say that he was kidnapped at gunpoint in Anoka. V1 states he was driven around Anoka and later into North Minneapolis. V1 states 2 black males made him strip. When he was eventually let out of veh, he was given his clothing back except his shoes. V1 went door-to-door trying to get help in area of Broadway/Aldrich. V1 was robbed of wallet, cell phone w/gun to his head. When officers attempt to make contact with V1 for Show Up, officers are unable to locate V1 as employees of Hotel believe he left for dinner. V1’s phone was taken so officers unable to call for Show Up.
10-003200 Flee of Robbery vehicle from 10-003,127
Officer was driving in the area of North Minneapolis when he spots the Suspect Robbery vehicle from 003,127. After waiting for other squads to get into position to assist with stop, suspect takes off and flees from officers. Suspect eventually bails in front of 29xx Knox Av. N. Driver/Suspect was taken into custody by K9. Passenger/Suspect run into rear of 29xx Knox with Officers in Hot Pursuit. Officers stand by in house for K9 to come inside and locate Passenger/Suspect in upstairs bedroom. Owner of the house who was outside when suspects bail from car, give verbal and written consent to search her home. The gun is located in a closet and Passenger/Suspects jacket was also located in the room which he was hiding. Both are positively ID’d by victim from 10-003211.

While still on scene at 29xx Knox Av. N., officers notice another Robbery of Person in calls pending. Upon looking at remarks, it states that V1 was kidnapped in Anoka, robbed at gunpoint and transported into No. Minneapolis. Squad gets info from another victim who states that while in Anoka, he is approached by 2 BMs driving a red Ford Contour (Same as original robbery) and Kidnapped at gunpoint. Victim states he is driven around Anoka, Coon Rapids and later into No. Mpls. to Broadway and Lyndale. He is eventually let out by suspects after they rob him of his wallet and cell. V1 transported to scene for a Show Up and ID’d both suspects/gun used in Robbery.
