V1/BM-14 yrs. and 2 friends were walking down the sidewalk (note: they were also involved w/PERGUN call where 5 BMs/15-18 yrs. pulled a gun/all 3 friends ran) and now they saw 2 of the same BMs. The 3 pals were scared/ran in all directions. 3 BMs grabbed V1 and the other 2 BMs began to punch V1 in the face/stole $20, I-Phone and a gold chain. The 5 suspects GOA/got in vehicle SB. V1 had a bloody mouth and lost a tooth.

V1 had met the suspects at Sex World and accepted a ride to the north side from S1 who then robbed him. Suspect Vehicle 90s to early 2000’s green Ford Focus.

CVS was burglarized overnight. It appears the loss is limited to cigars and cigarettes. No alarms were tripped but the suspects were observed on video making entry through a front window (smashed out with a crowbar).

Officers responded to a call of persons loitering, gambling and possible SHOTS. Upon arriving, officers located and identified four persons. While checking the area, officers located and recovered a gun that appeared to be ‘stashed’ under a boat behind this location.
Burglary of Business
18XX 2nd St 23:39 hrs 09-176056
Squads dispatched to the above scrap yard for a male that was stealing scrap metal. Officers approach the suspect in the yard while he was standing on the rear of a semi throwing scrap metal over the fence. The suspect loses his balance and falls to the ground (about 4ft.) The suspect resists officers attempt to handcuff and force is used during the arrest. The suspect loses consciousness and becomes unresponsive. S1 admitted to HCMC.

Squad responded to a Robbery of Person and observed a male matching the suspect description. They stop the male and recover a 22 pistol in his pants pocket. The victim refused to cooperate. The suspect was booked PC Weapons. The suspect is a convicted felon and was recently released from prison for aiding/abetting murder.

Squad dispatched to an attempt burglary at above. While enroute, the alleged suspect called 911 and advised that he was trying to retrieve his stolen bike and that the caller has a marijuana grow operation in his apartment. Officers speak with caller and smell the strong odor of marijuana in the home. Officers observed bright lights coming out of a closet and numerous drug paraphernalia throughout the house. Officers discover the grow operation in the closet. Male unable to provide adequate info/booked.

A 15 y/o with depression issues and a previous suicide attempt was found by his mother hanging in his bedroom closet. EMS/MFD responded and attempted resuscitation. No suspicious circumstances

A light skinned B/M driving a red 4 door vehicle fired 6 rounds at the apartment building (14XX Plymouth) then fled NB on Irving. A vehicle driving EB on Plymouth was struck in the windshield. No injuries, Six 9mm casings recovered.

Daywatch officers kept busy with traffic stops today. Several tags issued, bodies booked in HCJ and vehicles towed to the impound lot.

Squad respond to above address on a DOA. The victim was supposed to meet his friends at a bar and never showed up. The friends went to his home and found the victim in the basement DOA. Victim left a suicide note.

Officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Driver’s DL status was SUSPENDED with more than 14 “Fail to Appear” flags. A likelihood the driver would not respond to a citation/taken into custody. Search incident to lawful arrest revealed Heroin drug paraphernalia, Heroin, 20 syringes, numerous mini cotton balls and cooking equipment.

Squad was dispatched to above location on a domestic assault in progress. Officers arrive and notice the pregnant victim standing in the street. The male/suspect runs into the above address and locks the doors. Victim told police that the suspect had wrapped his hands around her neck and attempted to strangle her. Victim also stated that the suspect was in the Army and has a .38 cal pistol in the house. Officers set up a perimeter and attempts were made to call the suspect out. Sgt assembled an entry team made up of STOP officers. SWAT negotiator Officer spoke with the suspect for several minutes and was able to talk the suspect into surrendering to police. The suspect was taken into custody and was booked at HCJ. Victim was transported to Hsp. because of pains in her stomach. No guns were found in the house.

Victim was arguing with the AP over money. The AP grabbed a 2x4 board and struck the victim on the head. The victim was seen by medics at scene. The AP was found nearby and booked at HCJ for above.

41XX Soo Line –Camden Boat landing 01:15 hrs 09-181126
Squad noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot at the Camden boat landing. As officers approached, the front seat passenger took off running into the woods. Officers gave chase and lost the male. Officers called K-9 and eventually located the male’s shorts, shirt, and underwear in the woods.. Trooper was called and checked the area. The male was never found. The female in the vehicle had a warrant and was booked at HCJ. The female told officers that she didn’t know the male’s full name.

Two teenagers were playing with a loaded revolver. They pointed the gun at each other and pulled the trigger – several times. The nine shot revolver’s cylinder eventually rotated to a cylinder with a live round. The gun fired and struck a 16 year old female in the eye at close range. Victim was able to walk herself out to the ambulance/was transported to NMMC. Doctors advised that she would lose the eye but would survive. A juvenile male was transported to the Juvenile Division and was later booked JDC.

Victim and witness were walking on Lyndale from 21st when an unknown person shot 2 or 3 times. Victim was hit on the left hand. Witness and victim were driven by unknown citizen to NMMC for treatment for non life threatening injury.

The RP states that a black male, 22-26 years old with a black semi auto handgun walked into Smarte Car Care and robbed the business. The loss was $400 in various bills and a cell phone. The suspect left the area on foot

Officers conducted a suspicious person stop. AP gave officers an alias. Officers learned AP’s true identity and found that he used the alias because he had a warrant. AP was booked for PC False Info and the confirmed warrant.

Officers stopped a vehicle after receiving information it was involved in narcotics activity. Officers observed the driver/AP tucking what was later found to be suspected crack cocaine near the center console. AP was booked HCJ for PC Narcotics.

JCAT - Mpls Juvenile Division, 4th Precinct Officers, Minneapolis School Resource Officers, Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies and Hennepin County Juvenile Probation made the following contacts and or arrests in the Fourth Precinct though it should be noted not all officers are not present at every scene due to agency schedules and field logistics. All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
