ASSAULT
21st & PENN WEDNESDAY 1811 HOURS 08-233215
35 year old black male w/18 CAPRS fired upon as he drove through an intersection causing him to strike another vehicle.
1708 GLENWOOD FRIDAY 0010 HOURS 08-234968
Unknown party fired shots striking a car and house however is possibly related to an earlier bike theft.
621 29th SATURDAY 1945 HOURS 08-237455
19 year old black male went to the 1st Precinct reporting being shot at while at a basketball tournament after being followed to his car by 5-6 black males one of which who’d “mean mugged” him and fired several rounds at him while he was seated in his car.
30th & PENN MONDAY 2220 HOURS 08-239753
47 year old black female robbed by 2 black males one of which was located. Arrested was a 16 year old male w/5 CAPRS
ROBBERY
1647 PENN TUESDAY 0021 HOURS 08-231281
15 & 17 year old black male and female robbed of $40.00 and a cell phone @ gunpoint by three black males known to them.
26th/4th STREET WEDNESDAY 2010 HOURS 08-233374
50 year old black female robbed of her wallet by a 20-22 year old black male whom she chased for three blocks eventually retrieving the wallet minus $26.00.
GOLDEN VLY RD/NEWTON FRIDAY 1900 HOURS 08-238250
17 year old black female waited two days to report being robbed of her phone @ gunpoint two 16-17 year old black males (one of which was charged in the recent shooting of a young female)
17th/QUEEN SATURDAY 0000 HOURS 08-238033
41 year old black male waited numerous days to report being robbed @ gunpoint by a group of 5-6 black males, 18-25 years old
8th/QUEEN SUNDAY 1610 HOURS 08-238310
While pulling into his garage a 36 year old Hispanic male was robbed and struck in the head w/a bottle by two males who fled with his wallet and phone. Later Park Officers arrested two males at the Holiday Station using victim’s credit cards to fill up other people’s cars with gas for ½ the value in cash. One male was carrying the victim’s cell phone and ID. Arrested were Kyle Parker and Dewayne Braswell, 18 year old black males w/22 & 8 CAPRS both with a history of robberies & one with court time on Tuesday.
7th/EMERSON SUNDAY 1956 HOURS 08-238457
Four 15-17 year old black males were attempting to buy weed from a group of black males when the group robbed them. One buyer began fighting with a seller who produced a gun and shot a 15 year old in the abdomen. The victim’s friends transported him to hospital where he was listed in critical condition with non life threatening injuries.
1515 PLYMOUTH MONDAY 1406 HOURS 08-239184
Delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint by two males. While officers searched the apartment building they found two males coming out of a unit carrying the bag the food was delivered in. Officers then locate cell phone used to place the delivery order. After a consent search a replica gun and half eaten Chinese food were recovered. Arrested were Dartaneo Johnson & Antonia Pendleton, 18 & 26 year old black males w/10 & 34 CAPRS

CRT Officers observed parties drinking beer in a bus shelter and upon searching them located a revolver. Arrested were Dominic Wilson & Anthony Lee, 22 and 20 year old black males w/8 & 26 CAPRS
32XX BRYANT WEDNESDAY 1235 HOURS 08-232908
JCAT recovered eight shotguns while arresting a juvenile. Arrested was a 15 year old black male w/16 CAPRS
36th & GIRARD TUESDAY 2347 HOURS 08-232305
Stop Officers attempted to stop three parties who ran from them and while doing so were grabbing at their waistbands. One was caught and located on his path were a 45 caliber H & K and a 32 caliber Beretta, both loaded. Arrested was Ronald Lee a 22 year old black male w/36 CAPRS, a convicted felon and on probation for narcotic, weapons and bullet proof vest
3019 4th STREET FRIDAY 2210 HOURS 08-236076
Officers observed an occupied vehicle with expired tabs and upon running it find that the plates did not belong on it so attempted to stop it but the occupants bailed. A perimeter was set and the driver apprehended. The vehicle was a Minneapolis stolen and a loaded sawed off shotgun was found on the back seat. Arrested was Travis Johnson a 29 year old black male with no history
4006 GIRARD SUNDAY 0145 HOURS 08-237777
Traffic stop for loud music lead to a short chase and recovered a Glock handgun a Fridley stolen. Arrested were Desean Peterson, Woody White & Samuel Morris, 19 & 18 year old black males with no histories
26th & LOGAN MONDAY 0424 HOURS 08-238871
Officers attempted to stop a male riding a bike without proper lighting however he refused their commands and fled. During the chase a resident called 911 to say a male was hiding in their yard where officers found him and a revolver. Arrested was Jeffery Reeves a 20 year old black male w/22 CAPRS
PATROL HIGHLIGHTS SUBMITTED
1625 Plymouth – Wednesday – 0030 hours – 08-232358. Officers respond to the location of a previous night stabbing and based on call remarks and the residents reactions locate suspect hiding in a closet. Arrested was Erica Kennedy a 27 year old black female w/41 CAPRS
2214 Lyndale – Wednesday – 0242 hours - 08-232566. Officers respond burglary call and observe two people in the basement removing drywall exposing copper piping. Piping which had already been removed was property inventoried. Arrested were Tyrone Fuller & James Exum, 38 & 45 year old black males w/76 & 57 CAPRS
2020 25TH Avenue – Wednesday – 0530 hours – 08-232639. Officer’s spot fresh stolen whose driver bails and was tased during apprehension. Arrested was Leon Bell a 34 year old black female w/17 CAPRS
2940 Vincent – Wednesday – 0603 hours – 08-232643. On his way to work Inspector Skomra saw two males with their bikes tangled up and when asks if he could be of any assistance one male stated the other had robbed him. The other male rides off with the inspector chasing him. Precinct officers locate the male in a known crack house w/crack in his sock. Arrested was Lorenzo Haynes a 36 year old black male w/86 CAPRS
318 25 Avenue – Wednesday – 1737 hours - 08-233164. A naked female flags down a neighbor stating she been raped. Officers arrive and learn suspect is still inside and that she was able to escape after hitting suspect with a 2 by 4. Officers enter and find the naked suspect nursing his wound. Suspect, who appears to be a non-compliant registered sex offender, was taken for an exam and booked. Victim transported a hold was placed by ER staff. Arrested was Willie Reynolds a 39 year old black male w/0 CAPRS
309 Knox – Friday – 1233 hours – 08-235420. Five males broke windows of an occupied home and attempted to gain entry. K9 and precinct officers apprehended four males who were ID’d by the victim. Arrested were four 14 – 16 year old black males w/5, 14, 1, & 3 CAPRS – with one being arrested on 7/27 for doing the same thing on 13/Thomas
2011 Emerson – Friday - 1641 hours - 08-235618. Witnesses watched a male start a shopping cart full of paper on fire and held him until officers arrived. The fire spread to a vehicle and then to a duplex which officers cleared. The vehicle and building were a total loss. Arrested was a 10 year old black male w/3 CAPRS
2800 Pacific St – Saturday – 0226 hours – 08-236456. Off duty officer working at a business observed three males entering a fenced area and then emerge carrying used radiators. The males fled but were apprehended. Arrested were Damon Barefield, Anthony Nelson & Tracy Coley, 43, 42 & 41 years old black males w/35, 13 & 36 CAPRS who were charged with Theft
300 42ND Ave – Saturday – 0239 hours – 08-236743. Officers respond to a jumper on the Camden Bridge and upon arrival find a 23 year old female on the outside of the rail being held onto by two passerby females. Officers assisted in dragging her back over the railing and then she was transported to crisis. Officers and citizens written up for awards.
Broadway & Dupont – Saturday - 1742 hours - 08-237135. Officers observed a male doing drug transactions and when they try to stop him he flees on foot. Upon his arrest he was was found to be carrying a baggie containing several rocks of crack. Arrested was Theotis Johnson a 38 year old black male w/11 CAPRS
24th & Lyndale – Monday – 0124 hours - 08-238792. Officers attempt to stop a suspicious vehicle in an alley and when they get to the end of the alley they observe the driver running NB. Officers apprehended the driver and find the car to be a Moundsview stolen. Slight injury to an officer. Arrested was Eric Braylock a 18 year old black male w/8 CAPRS
30th & Morgan – Monday – 1650 hours – 08-239357. Officers spotted a stolen, aired their location and attempted to stop the vehicle however when they activated their emergency equipment the driver fled NB on Morgan. Officers aired that they were in a pursuit at speeds of 30 MPH with the driver running signs at 33rd, 35th, 37th and Dowling where he attempted to turn but lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled and struck the cemetery fence and came to rest on its roof. After the crash, the driver and passenger ran and were apprehended after a short chase. Arrested were two 16 year old black males w /20 & 12 CAPRS – for several hours one of the males continued to provide false names for he and his mother wasting doctors, nurses and police personal time and laughing and founding it very funny that authorities weren’t able to ID him.
20XX James – Monday – 2127 hours - 08-239667. While en-route to a missing four year old officers learned a child matching that description was found approximately 45 minutes earlier, six blocks from home and having crossed Broadway. The mother, who appeared high or intoxicated, was transported to the precinct and ID’d her daughter who’d been missing for one hour after wandering off from the park where she was playing unsupervised after dark. Mother previously had an 8 year old removed from the home due to neglect. Arrested was a 25 year old white female w/11 CAPRS
3658 Humboldt – Tuesday - 0035 hours - 08-240000. Officers responded to a domestic and where told the suspect lived and went to arrest him. After being let into the house they observe a male walk upstairs and then follow a female upstairs to arrest the suspect and observe the first male stuffing something into the toilet and find approximately 1 oz of powder cocaine. Arrested was Maurice Daye a 20 year old black male w/0 CAPRS
CRT HIGHLIGHTS
08-233406 32/Columbus – Officers recovered 29.5 grams of crack cocaine. Arrested were Montalvo Knowles & Damon Young, a 20 & 33 year old black males w/1 & 4 CAPRS and several warrants from several counties
Officers were at Elsie’s @ 721 Marshall NE for lunch and as they sat down Officer Creighton noticed an elderly man choking and quickly responded with the Heimlich maneuver dislodging the food the elderly male was choking on. Other officers quickly called for EMS who arrived and transported the male. The officers actions prevented the male from choking and possible death.
JACT - Mpls Juvenile Division, 4th Precinct Officers, Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies and Hennepin County Juvenile Probation made the following contacts and or arrests in the Fourth Precinct. All warrants confirmed prior to beginning field operations and at each location officers explained the purpose and objectives of JCAT.
Male @ 29XX Logan. Active: Receiving and Concealing. Priors: Motor Vehicle Tampering X3, Flee Police on Foot, Auto Theft, Receiving and Concealing, Curfew and Shoplift. Subject not located. Open investigation.
Female @ 29XX 4th St. Active: Theft. Priors: Assault and Runaway. JCAT has sought her on numerous occasions and have encountered her hostile mother @ 37XX Aldrich who refuses to accept her parental responsibility. Officers received leads to 29XX 4th St where they encountered numerous people and a large pit bull. Subject arrested after denying her identity.
Female @ 28XX Emerson. Active: Assault. Subject not located.
Female @ 41XX Aldrich. Active: Felony Theft. Priors: Runaway and Shoplift. Subject located and arrested.
Female @ 30XX Lyndale. Active: Narcotics. Officers made contact with family who reported she is living with an unknown female at an unknown location. Open investigation.
Male @ 3XX Lowry. Active: Assault. Priors: Terroristic Threats. Officers learned family recently moved from this location.
Male @ 29XX Colfax. Active: 1st Degree Damage to Property. Priors: Aggravated Robbery of Person, Disorderly Conduct, Narcotics, Narcotics Loitering X3, Assault 5 X2 & Motor Vehicle Tampering. Officers first went to his guardian aunt's house and then to a St. Paul location locating him in a nearby park. Officers learned he been staying with his sister.
Female @ 29XX & 32XX Colfax. Active: Failure to Appear. Priors: Runaway X8 & Curfew X2. Vacant dwellings.
Male @ 34XX 6th St. Active Burglary X2. Priors: Motor Vehicle Tampering, Flee Police on Foot, Curfew, Trespass & Public Burning. Subject is a known ganger. Dwelling was found vacant.
Male @ 35XX 6th St. Active: Terroristic Threats. Priors: Curfew X3, Narcotics X3, Narcotics Loitering, Damage to Property X4, Tobacco, Domestic Assault, Auto Theft, Disorderly Conduct X6, Trespass, Assault 5 X3 & Terroristic Threats. Dwelling vacant.
Female @ 40XX Lyndale. Active: Curfew, Park Ordinance & Disorderly Conduct. Priors: Assault, Disorderly Conduct X3, Threats & Flee Police on Foot. Officers also sought her at 31XX Queen but she left during the night. Subject not located.
Male @ 49XX Aldrich. Active: Aggravated Robbery. Subject located concealed in an attic beneath fiberglass insulation.
